Head Coach
Kyle Farrington has been coaching swimming since 1992. Coach Kyle has coached all age groups and abilities ranging from age-group, park district, year-round USA, and All-American swimmers. As a swimmer, Kyle began competing as a five-year-old on his neighborhood swimming team. He went on to compete at both the high school & collegiate levels in the Chicagoland area and enjoyed many events but specialized in breaststroke, butterfly and IM. Currently, Coach Kyle is the head boys and girls swim coach at Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park where he is also a Communication Arts teacher. Kyle’s swimmers always comment that he is a hard-working & dedicated coach that challenges each swimmer to reach his or her maximum potential. Since he began in 2006, the Barracuda Swim Team has grown from 50 to 150 participants. Families enjoy the positive environment Kyle creates on his team as well as the improvement in their children’s abilities.
